I²S

I²S has no industry standard. If you would like to use the I²S connection, the I²S pinout matching with the DAC has to be configured correctly. Mismatch of I²S pinout may result in static/noise output. The excessive noise output level may damage the loudspeakers/headphone drivers.

Suggestion of I²S matching with the DAC

1. Connect the I²S cable (good quality HDMI cable <3ft/1m)
2. Turn down the volume (audible, minimal)
3. Play a familiar music (PCM first, followed by DSD)
4. Run through the I²S setting of the DAC (please check with the DAC manufacturer for more details)
5. One of the modes should match with the source for both PCM and DSD playback.

It's recommended to go through the Audio Tone Test to make sure the L/R channel, in phase/out of phase correctness.

Note

DENAFRIPS Hermes/Gaia DDC shipped after 25th March 2021 is equipped with I²S pinout configuration capability for I2S-A (HDMI LVDS). Please refer to the manual for more details.

Please note that the RJ45/HDMI ports of DENAFRIPS DDC are not typical network/multimedia RJ45/HDMI ports. They are purpose-built I²S ports. Please do not connect it to the typical multimedia HDMI port (i.e. Bluray player/TV etc) / Ethernet network.

VAT Prepaid (DDP) Shipping Option

We offer Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) shipping option for customers who reside in the EU/UK. To you, as a customers who live in the EU, it is as if the product is shipped within the EU after the package is cleared from the customs. The courier crew will deliver the package to your doorstep, you do not need to pay additional charges on top of what you have paid when placing the order.

The typical timeline of DDP shipment is as follows:

• Package hand over to the shipping company on the day you receive the tracking information
• Shipping company export the package to the EU
• Once the package arrived in the EU, i.e. Liege Airport, customs clearance process begin
• Once the customs clearance is completed, local courier (i.e. DPD/DHL) will pick up the package for delivery
• The package will be delivered within the EU to your doorstep

The shipment takes about 18-20days to complete.
