Welcome to another episode of Streamer X DAC Project!
Streamer X DAC Project is an initiative of Vinshine Audio where Vinshine Audio acquire several popular streamers on the market, test them extensively with DENAFRIPS DAC, get accustomed and have the first-hand experience of these streamers in order to be able to make recommendations what are the parameter settings, interface (SPDIF/i2s/USB) work best with DENAFRIPS DAC.

Streamer to Discuss: Lumin U2 Mini
System Configuration [Without a preamp]
If the Lumin U2 Streamer and the DAC are the only source in your system, you may not need a preamp. You may use the built-in LEEDH Processing Volume to attenuate the volume digitally.
However(!), if you have other digital sources (CDT/computer/etc), please use a preamp in the system. We recommend DENAFRIPS Hestia/Hades/Athena Preamp.
LEEDH Processing Volume
Hardwire Ethernet connection to the Lumin U2 Mini
Lumin U2 Mini->AES->DENAFRIPS DAC->XLR->Active Loudspeakers/Power Amp
Enable Volume Control
Please set the Max Volume % to limit the maximum output volume for safety reason
Lumin App
Download the Lumin App on the smartphone/tablet. The app shall detect the Lumin connected to the same network
Options
LEEDH Processing Volume
Enable Leedh Processing Volume
Set the Max Volume % (Safety Level) to limit the maximum volume output
The digital volume '100' will be scaled according to the Max Volume % setting
*Note:
When Leedh Processing Volume is enabled, DSD will be converted to PCM
Digital Audio Output Setting
Set the digital output(s) on/off accordingly to suit your system
USB Audio Output
When USB DAC is connected, it will be set as the default output device. You may find the USB DAC information in 'About' page

Re-Sampling
Lumin comes with built-in re-sampling feature to allow re-sampling of PCM/DSD to various different sampling rate.
Firmware Update
Lumin periodically check for latest firmware update. We recommend update to streamer to the latest version.

Please adhere to components power on/off sequence. We recommend to power on the components in the following sequence:
Streamer/Transport
DAC
Amplifier (Integrated Amp/Preamp)
Power Amp
*Power off sequence will be the reverse order of the above
